rainy days and wednesdays

yesterday it rained in grand haven. not a thunder storm or a downpour, just a nice steady rain with big drops, ya know the kind that make bubbles in the puddles.

my mood, my attitude, and my spirit as of late seemed to match the day. so... i went for a walk in the rain. it was refreshing to some extent, but moreso it was numbing.

with the constant sound of rain bouncing off the pavement, the cars rushing by kicking up a mist of rain water from underneath their zooming tires, and the waterfall of rain drops dripping from the tips of my hair my walk seemed to be incaged, like i was standing still in a moment of time, though with all the movemenmt around me it was obvious that i wasn't still. i was moving forward, but i was getting all wet at the same time. and of course, as a mother would say, i was setting myself up to get sick. but i needed to do it. it matched me.

and that is where i am at these days. moving forward, getting wet, and dangerously setting myself up to get sick in the future.

i need to get out of the rain.

anybody got an umbrella?
